  • Craig Harwood

    CHAIR

    Craig Harwood has been a successful real estate developer for over 35 years in NYC and New Jersey. Creating housing, parking structures and retail in over 20 projects. In addition, Mr. Harwood has been a creative producer, director and writer of theater, documentaries and film winning several awards. His films include Paternal Instinct, Gender Rebel and Anchovies. His theater work – Trick or Treat, God Make Me Sexy, Carmen, Dead or Alive and The 2521st Man has taken him from Sydney to NYC.

    As board member, Mr. Harwood has served on boards starting with GLAAD, The Lantern Group, Easton Mountain and The Threshold Foundation with a total of 30 plus years serving in various capacities from treasurer, to chair.

    It’s a privilege for Craig to now serve on the Oneness Center Board as chair.

  • Mirja Sjöblom

    VICE CHAIR

    Mirja Sjöblom has studied at Oneness Center since 2011. In 2018 she completed the Embodiment Yoga Teacher Training. Since then, she has been teaching Embodiment Yoga online at the Oneness Center and she is also teaching Vinyasa Flow in Stockholm.

    In her professional career, she works as a Senior Economist with the World Bank’s Health, Nutrition and Population Global Practice. She is currently the team leader for the World Bank’s health program in Tajikistan. Before that, she has led analytical and operational work in the health sector since joining the World Bank in 2006, with experience working in Latin America, Africa, and Asia. She has worked on many topics including private sector engagement in healthcare delivery, health financing, governance, supply chain management and human resource for health. Ms. Sjöblom was also part of the team that designed and set up the Global Financing Facility for Every Women and Every Child (GFF), where she held the position as Strategic Adviser to the Head of the GFF Secretariat. She received her M Sc. in Economics and International Business from the Stockholm School of Economics and her PhD in Health Policy from the University of Edinburgh. She has published several peer-reviewed articles and co-authored books on various topics related to health system strengthening, international migration and gender.

  • Lia de Affonseca

    SECRETARY

    Lia is a real estate professional with over a decade of experience in commercial real estate development. She is passionate about bringing visions into reality and finding ways to build more sustainably. She has experience working in various markets (Asia, Europe, South and North America) and loves to work cross culturally with people from all backgrounds.

    Lia been a member of Oneness Center since 2014 and through this work has found immense healing and growth. She has a deep connection to the evolution of human consciousness and to the exploration of our choice to be human in this lifetime, each person with their unique purpose. Growth is her passion and it inspires her to see and learn from others on their own healing journeys.

  • Hassan Afrouzi

    TREASURER

    Hassan Afrouzi is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Columbia University. He received a Bachelor's degree in mathematics from Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran, and his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Texas at Austin. At Columbia, he teaches advanced macroeconomics at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and his research specializes in monetary policy and inflation. While on sabbatical from Columbia for the 2022/23 academic year, Hassan is working as a Visiting Research Associate at the Becker Friedman Institute at the University of Chicago. Hassan is very pleased to be serving on the Board at Oneness Center.

  • Victoria Freud

    BOARD MEMBER

    Victoria Freud emigrated to The United States in 1996 from St. Petersburg Russia with her family as political refugees from the regime. Since her arrival to the states, she has lived in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Stamford and Trumbull Connecticut, Albrightsville Pennsylvania, Hollywood Florida and currently in Jersey City, NJ with her husband and daughter.

    Victoria holds degrees in Math and Computer Science. She earned a Summa Cum Lauder degree from St Petersburg University and an MS in Computer Science and graduated both Summa Cum Lauder and made the Dean's list at NYIT, New York.

    For more than 20 years, Victoria has built a successful career in Information Technology working in Corporate America. She has worked for Gartner group, UBS and JP Morgan. Currently she is head of the global instrument reference data technology department at JP Morgan.

    Victoria has been involved with several nonprofits throughout the years. She has volunteered for Worldwide Orphans Organization, participated in the NYC 5 borough bike tour raising funds for open a center in Lviv Ukraine to help and support war orphans and refugee children in finding support and healing from trauma.

    She joined Oneness Center and has been studying with Ronit Singer since 2008. She earned her Embodiment Yoga teacher’s license in 2019 and taught in-person and online Yoga classes in 2020 to support Oneness Center community members through the NYC COVID quarantine and beyond.

    As a frequent doner and avid volunteer, Victoria is always looking for ways to contribute to Oneness Center. She wholeheartedly believes our world needs the language of Oneness and is super inspired to become a member of the board of directors and to better support this life-changing, inspiring work.
